PostSubject: Greetings from Garland, TX!!!   7/5/2012, 1:58 am

Happy Independence Day, USAfishbox!!

My name is Stacy, and my husband & I live in Garland, Tx. We don't have any kids, so we have pets instead. I have 2 cats - Snowie & Alley, 3 dogs - Timmy, Mia, & Barney, 1 hamster - Molly, 1 gerbil - Miss "J" & several tanks which include:

2.5g - Crimson Male VT - Max
20g - Pink Kissing Gourami - Mr. Pink
29g - 1 ABN pleco - Albie
55g - 3 Featherfin Cats

I recently caught a really good deal at Petco with their $1/gallon sale & picked up a 40g breeder for just $40!! My plans are to set it up just as soon as I can get a stand & move my pink kisser & ABN. Still not sure what kind of friends I'd like for them to have yet, though.

With my 55g, I'm getting ready for peacock cichlid babies from a friend, so the featherfins will be their roomies. Not sure what kind of colors they're going to be, but will hopefully be able to pick them up this weekend.

As if I don't already have enough tanks to clean, I also have a project currently in the works as well. I picked up this crazy-cool fish rack that holds 4-10g tanks. Thinking of doing planted tanks w/different critters in each. So far, the critters that are up for consideration are shrimp, crayfish, dwarf puffer,

I absolutely love the hobby of fish-keeping as I'm constantly learning about all the different things there are to know when it comes to caring for such beautiful creatures. I look forward to talking with everyone & maybe even meeting a few locals. Glad to be here!!

Wow....didn't realize it had been so long since I've been on here! Thanks everyone for all the warm welcomes. Well, a lot has changed since my first post here. I lost my ABN & green tigers due to what we're calling "the unfortunate heater incident", plus my baby peacocks arrived! Sooo....I now have:

55g - Featherfin cats, Peacock cichlids (Strawberry & the other breed is unknown atm)
29g - Pink Kissing Gourami, Kuhli loaches
20g - Colombian Tetras, Neon Tetras, Oto
Also, 2 Betta tanks: 1 halfmoon, 1 veiltail

Whew! I think that just about covers everybody!! Again, thanks for all the hospitality. Hopefully, I'll be more diligent in checking in here & will try to get pics posted soon!

-Stacy
