Favorite Fish: : My Betta who I inherited last year, pretty neat though...really got attached to her?/him?.....Her name is Dr Fiona Wong. I didn't name her, her first home was a medical office who didn't want her.

am new here, have tried researching sick Betta's via internet, not much luck. hoping you folks might have helpful input.....blue red betta, inherited her(? her/him?) May 2011. Has bare patches on only the left side of her body, scales are outlined in black, is this a pine cone effect suggesting dropsy? She doesn't seem bulging, she is a big girl(boy?) Sluggish at times, sometimes stands on her head in the corner of the tank even. Hard to arouse. Doesn't flare or seem interested in anything except food....was told they are prone to "depression!" Got a Colorado Gold minnow who stated eating her fins. Minnow went back to pet store. Treated tank with tea tree liquid sold as brand BettaFish. Has been a month or so since final treatment, symptoms reappearing worsening....any advice, suggestions, help? I feel so bad for her.....I don't know what to do. So much internet info that is conflicting...pet store not helpful.
