| So my firemouths have layed eggs 4 times in the past 7 weeks i do not have any more room for fish...I have some new years babies in there own tank for grow out and will be putting them in the main tank in the next few weeks..Is there a way to slow or stop my baby making fish LOL i moved around the decor and changed the water temp hoping that might stop them I even fill in the pits they dig in the gravel during spawning lol...Also this all prevents me from vaccuming the gravel (tired of getting my hands attacked!) ....Any ideas to stop this without separating the fish? |

| well if it's just about having too many babies/fry then add some Synodontis (catfish) they will pick off all the eggs, the parents won't be able to keep them at bay.... So they can breed all they want to but no babies will make it.

| will the catfish eat any of my plants? My cichlids dont bother them much |

Favorite Fish:: My Favorites are the Pleco's and Cory Cats . BUT , I have 44 running Tanks at this time . I keep 3 kinds of Shellies , several types of Pleco's ( mostly Ancistrus ), Cichlids , Crays , Angels , LB's , and some local species .

| Get 3 or 4 Synodontis petricola . They only get to about 4 - 5 inches . They are safe in planted tanks . And generally are good tank mates.If it is small enough to fit in its mouth , it is lunch.( Ie; shrimps,and such ) |

| i always take fish to the LFS. everyone that works there knows my name. the good thing is getting store credit. the more often you take fish up there, more likely to get more money |
